of wood,  Mini and Ce Ce did not want to leave it,  Mini is now 10 years and still going

This is a beautiful point!  This pup is about 6 months old and was sold
to Chris who hunts chuckers in Nevada. (I think this pup was first pick)  What a great picture!

porcupine

If you have spent time upland game hunting you have probably ran into a porcupine or two
porcupines are not aggressive but most dogs are, especially when they are in hunting mode.
I always carry pliers with me,  the sooner you can get them out the better.
This time it was easy nothing in the mouth,  I had them out in about 10 minutes,  other times we have worked an hour to get them all and sometimes it takes a trip to the vet, to put the dog out, stretch his tongue out and find every last one.   Make sure to get them all because the tips are barbed and will never  back out, they travel in which can cause serious problems in the future.
